Jane Omojokun
Jane Omojokun, the Managing Director/Lead Consultant of Nugata Consults Ltd, Lagos Nigeria, holds an M.Sc. degree in Industrial Microbiology. She was a government regulator at NAFDAC and is a GLOBALGAP Registered Trainer and FSSC 22000 Certified Lead Auditor.
She is a consultant to the National Codex Committee (NCC), the Food Industry, COLEACP and International Trade Centre (ITC). She offers technical support to operators in the food value chain particularly farmers and processors on Food Safety Management Systems; GLOBALG.A.P. requirements, regulatory affairs and application of cold storage systems to reduce post-harvest losses and enable export of competitive agricultural products.
Jane Omojokun was the Head of Regulatory Affairs, Food Safety & Codex Divisions at various periods in time at the National Agency for Food & Drug Administration & Control (NAFDAC) and participated in the meetings of the FAO/WHO international food standards-setting programme of the Codex Alimentarius Commission and its Committees. She was the World Health Organization (WHO) International Food Safety Authorities Network (INFOSAN) Focal Point Officer for Nigeria and a member of the International Health Regulations (IHR) National Committee providing the periodic review of the Core Capacity 11 on Food Safety.
